CARBO Sostenible, through its Founder and Manager, Juan Andrés López, collects the experience of more than 60 projects related to climate change mitigation and adaptation, in countries such as Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, United States, South Africa and Mozambique.

Among the main projects are those for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in sectors such as:

  • REDD+.
  • Forest Plantations.
  • African oil palm plantations.
  • Conventional and non-conventional energy sources.
  • Solid waste management.
  • Transport.
  • Industry.

    CARBO has experience in carbon markets including the development and commercialization projects for local e international markets, participation in the Chicago Climate Change Exchange (CCX) and the business plan elaboration for the voluntary market for the Colombian Mercantile Exchange.

    CARBO has also developed projects for the Green Climate Fund (GCF), related to transportation and urban planning to reduce emissions in intermediate cities, energy efficiency and renewable energy in the Caribbean region.
