Monochoa REDD+ – “Aire de vida”

REDD+ project protecting 353,583 ha of Amazon rainforest in the Monochoa Indigenous Reserve (Caquetá, Colombia). Communities: Tiribita, Caño Negro and Saíní settlement — 341 people / 88 families (Uitoto and Muinane peoples). Deforestation drivers: agricultural expansion, logging, and transitional crops. Estimated GHG reductions: 13,923,383 tCO₂e over 30 years (464,024 tCO₂e/year average) — of which 13,841,631 tCO₂e from avoided deforestation and 81,751 tCO₂e from avoided degradation.
